Infant/Toddler Teachers

Claudia - Infant Program

ClaudiaHello and welcome to our infant classroom. My name is Claudia and I work the 7:30-3pm shift daily. Jamie relieves me at 3. Just a bit about myself: I've been married for 30 years; have four awesome, grown children; and two pets- a Chi Wawa, Lillie, and a parakeet. My oldest girl lives over the hill, my boys work in retail here in the valley.

Before starting my family I was a school bus drive here in the valley. Once I had children, I started my own daycare and had that for 12 successful years. This enabled me to be a stay at home mom while earning a little income! I was a preschool teacher at a local school for 9 years. Teaching in a childcare center is a rewarding experience that I truly enjoy.

I have been working at CCSLV almost 4 years and helped open the infant room in June 2009. I look forward to meeting families and taking care of their children.

Meghann - Toddler Program

MeghannMy name is Meghann Jeanne McKenzie. I am a teacher in the Toddler Room at CCSLV. I have had the pleasure of working at the center for over three years now. It is important to me to be a part of the growth and support our community needs. I enjoy all that our community has to offer, beautiful parks, arts, locally owned businesses, friends, family and peace. I have an AA in Visual Communications and I am currently working toward an AS in ECE. My favorite things to do outside of the center are read, cook, draw, paint, Mosaic, movies, hike, travel, and visit with family and friends.

Erin - Toddler Program

photo coming soonHello. I'm Erin Reintjes- afternoon toddler room teacher. I'm very exited to be working here at CSLV! I have lived most of my life in Santa Cruz ( I moved here at age 11) and am happy to make my home here. I attended UCSC and graduated with a BA in literature in 1999. Since then I have focused my education on Early Childhood development. I have attend and will probably continue to attend classes at Cabrillo. I have 47 units and have just begun completing my requirements to obtain a Master Teacher Permit. For the past ten years, I have worked with children of different ages: as a TA in an after school program teacher; a camp counselor; and finally as a preschool teacher, I have worked with preschool children for the past three years and have really enjoyed it! Aside from teaching my interests are reading, gardening, hiking, camping, traveling and kayaking. I am also prone to geeking out over dinosaurs and local wild animals.
